What is the meaning of "a goal is a dream with a deadline"?

Image
Have you ever really declared your dream? What do you really stand for in life? What is most important to you? If you could create your life any way you wanted, what would it look like? I heard a quote recently that I liked – It was that a goal is a dream with a deadline. I think it was Napoleon Hill who said that. I love it. I think sometimes dreams by definition seem a bit out there in the realm of impossibility. As if something can be a dream or a reality but not both. And yet, our purpose in life is to fulfill our dreams, right? Otherwise what are we doing here? I like the notion that goals can help bring our dreams to life by breaking them down into manageable parts, and by creating an actual plan. It’s clear based on research that people who write down their goals are much more likely to achieve them. I’ve typically been one to write down my goals and I can vouch for the power of it. My friend Kim and I sit down together over Christmas/ New Year and review the past ...

Basic Reasons Why You are Never Too Old To Learn.

Image
Asa Hutchinson Said that: "You are Never Too Old To Learn." Some people still believe that once you reach a certain age, you stop learning. That is why you will not find many grownups who do not continue their education. They were informed that they would stop learning as they grew older. That theory, on the other hand, must be dispelled from the brains of tens of thousands of people. Here are four reasons why you can never be too old to learn. Regardless of their age, no one uses 100% of their brain. First, we only use 10% of our brain, and the remaining 90% needs to be utilized. We must not grow despondent and pessimistic. The brain is something that God Almighty has given to us that He has not provided to any other creature. We must make advantage of this fantastic and amazing mind that has elevated us beyond all other creations. Don't listen to those who tell you that you can't improve your knowledge or skills. Continue to study and never stop. As long as yo...

Do you believe in something greater than yourself at any point of your life?

Image
“Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.”  – Christian Larson I cannot express you how much this quote help to know about yourself. It is especially helpful at times when you are facing a current obstacle in your life because those are the times, we seem to forget that this is true. When things go wrong our first response is to blame ourselves, beat up on ourselves, put ourselves down, do all the “if I had only done this” or “if I had only done that”. Once we are done blaming ourselves, we tend to move on to thinking of all the reasons the obstacle we are facing is insurmountable, unfixable, impossible to overcome. Is it any wonder that so many people in the world are struggling with feelings of inadequacy and depression?   Who wouldn’t be depressed with that kind of thinking?! The next time you are facing an obstacle or dealing with a difficult situation just take this quote out and write it...
